Why do some areas of my body look dark?

In addition to external factors, there are also internal factors that cause darkening of certain areas of the body. These spots can be successfully lightened with a combination of professional treatments and adherence to home care recommendations.

There are many reasons why the skin may darken over time. Here are the most common ones:

Constricted areas: because the genitals, anal and other intimate areas are poorly ventilated and constricted under clothing for the most part, they do not receive sufficient air circulation. This affects the color and texture of the skin. Wearing undergarments that allow air to circulate with clothing that allows the skin to breathe can help prevent darkening.

Hormones: As we age, hormonal changes cause intimate areas to darken.

Friction: factors such as friction created during sex or exercise, from clothing or body fat, affect skin texture and color.

Sweat: chemicals released by the body in the form of sweat can also play a role in skin darkening. Because the genital areas, anal area, breasts and armpits are constricted, sweat can remain on the skin for long periods of time and cause discoloration.

Pigment: The genital area has the highest density of melanocytes (cells that produce pigment) of any part of the body. The denser the pigment, the darker the skin.

A series of at least 4 sessions is recommended, prices vary n according to an area and start at 120
